Well after a month of unintentional vacation, we got out on the water this morning and had high expectations and a pretty good forecast. Guess what! The weather wasn't how it was predicted. I know, I know, that never happens; yeah right! There was a 20% chance of rain and all 20% of it was right on top of the area I had in mind to fish. We started out catching pogies off the beach and got to witness several tarpon crashing them. These fish were all in the 30-40lb range it seemed, and some were jumping 5 feet in the air chasing pogies. We hooked one but we were un-prepared and he bit right through the leader in about 2 seconds. Headed on offshore and fished hard, right through the rain; thankfully there was no lightning and it never got super rough. We ended up with 3 nice snapper up to 11lbs, a true black grouper (awesome), a 30lb cobia, some nice triggerfish, beeliners, and sea bass, and a bunch of small sharks. Had a couple fish make fools of us, but all in all, a decent fish box. The crew was great, and tough (fished right through the rain) and I enjoyed spending the day on the water with them. Didn't get but a few pictures due to the rain wetting the camera.

I was really looking forward to going out on this past sunday but unfortunately the weather didn't hold up. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to go out.
