The ocean was like a lake today, flat and calm! With all the closures looming around, we kept our heads up and decided to go fishing regardless, and go for the only fish inshore you can keep; Black Sea Bass. We left the inlet with 6 people, and at 15 black sea bass per person, we needed 90 sea bass to limit out. Sounds ridiculous but by 2pm we had our 90 black sea bass and headed in. We must have caught 300-400 black sea bass today but 90 of them came in at over the 12" mark. We had several 15' ers and one 17" fish. We threw back 4 to 1 if not more. The bait of choice was Fish Bites Squid Chunks. You can se them hanging out of the bass' mouths in a few of the pictures. The Sea Bass and Triggerfish both love them plus they have a hard time getting it off the hook so you can catch several fish without having to re-bait. It's really nice not to have to keep cutting up nasty squid. Great job guys and thank you for going on short notice.
