We caught some big pogies this morning, perfect for what we were after. I'm not going to add the part that it took 2 hours to catch enough to make me happy. There's no need to mention that. We started at BR and the guys immediately went to work with the butterfly jigs. Within the first 28 seconds, we had lost 2 jigs lol. Everyone had their shot at amberjack; some were caught, but more were lost. That's the way it goes when you are fishing for freight trains! If you have a weak spot in your tackle, they will show it to you. We also caught some nice beeliners, a barracuda, and a 22lb mule red snapper. The crew even went for a swim 26 miles out. The water was great and the ride in was great until the last 7 miles. There wasn't a dry spot on the boat, nor a dry person on the boat.
