We had a very eventful day from shark fishing, to trolling, back to shark fishing. We started out just off the beach chumming for sharks. We caught a few and lost a few more. Once they seemed to back off we headed 10 miles offshore and started trolling. The kingfish bite was pretty good. At one point a kingfish hit the prop wash bait jumping 10 feet in the air right behind the engines before screaming 100 yards of line off the reel. Then shortly after that as I walked to theback of the boat to replace the prop wash bait I noticed 2 cobia swimming along behind the boat. One was small and one was was large. I dropped a bait back to the big one and the fight was on! About 10 minutes later we had a 40+lb cobia in the boat. Once I had the big cobia under control we hooked the smaller cobia we had to release. We finished up the troll with some more action and ended back on the beach chumming some more sharks into submission. Plenty of meat for the freezer!
