Saturday was a tough day. It's hard to believe we would have a nor'easter during the last week of JULY, but we did on Saturday. It all started out looking for bait. Pogies were thick as fleas on Friday so looking in the same area we found a couple small schools. Between the 4 boats trying to catch the same baits and the water being crystal clear which caused the baits to run from the net, catching them was very difficult. We caught a few dozen and headed offshore. Trolling was uneventful so we went to bottom fishing. Sharks were in full attack mode. The rods were bent but not with table fare. The northeast wind picked up to about 15-20 and the seas built to 3-5 feet so that was challenging as well. I had an iron clad crew though. They battled it with me and made the best out of some tough conditions. My hat goes off to the nauti girl crew. Nice job ladies!
