Saturday, December 20, 2008 - Greg, John and John, Todd, and Sammy Back
Seas: nasty as usual    Water Temp: 61-66°F Crew:
Moon:     Location: EF, LW, HL, BR
Species: 25 Beeliners
65 Sea Bass
1 Snapper
5 Triggerfish
Category:
Report: Headed out this morning to take advantage of the small window before the front starts moving through. We started at EF and began blistering the Black Sea Bass. We left the first spot with 51 black sea bass. We headed on out to be greeted with the typical Saturday (somebody's always on my spot on the weekends) routine. We bounced around a little from LW to HL and picked up a few more sea bass and some vermillion. We then finished at BR where we caught some more sea bass, several nice vermillion snapper, 5 triggerfish, a 21" red snapper (several throwbacks) and some sharks. We ended with between 25-30 beeliners (vermillion snapper), 65 black sea bass, 5 triggerfish, 1 red snapper, and 5 sharks. Turned a nasty day into a nice looking fish box. Keep those rods bent!
