Wednesday, February 18, 2009 - James, Cory, and Chris Back
Seas: brutal     Water Temp: 55°F Crew: james, Cory, and Chris
Moon:     Location: jetties
Species:   Category:
Report:

Today was no day to be offshore. The wind was out of the SW at 20-25+ all day which made even fishing inshore tough. We went out to the jetties and tried for some sheepshead. The winds was blowing so hard and the waves were so high that as we fished the inside of the south jetty, the waves would crash over the jetty and it was like it was raining on us from sea spray. We sttod tough and ended up with 5 decent sized sheepshead and lost 6-7 more to pulled hooks. Even though the conditions were tough, I had a great time and made some new friends. Thanks for fishing with me guys; hopefully we will be able to make it offshore sometime soon. Take care.
