Talk about toughing it out! The forecast was SE 15-20 today so Sheepshead were the target inshore. I figured I could hide behind the south jetty and work the heads over all day. That was the plan! The only thing that got worked over was my feelings. We were on the edge of this storm front and it had to have some kind of effect on the fishing. We did manage 5 sheepshead up to 9lbs, 2 black margates, a jack crevalle, a few throwback sea bass, several blemmies, a few lovely toad fish, and a few throwback heads. We worked hard for the fish we got. I must have anchored the boat (or tried to) at least 25 times all up and down the inside of the south jetty. Way to tough it out guys! Enjoy the sheepshead filets.
