Saturday, May 02, 2009 - Erik, Robert, Ted, and Wade Back

Moon:     Location: TW, BR
Species: 3 Amberjack
14 Beeliners
4 Sea Bass
5 Snapper
4 Triggerfish
Category:
Report: I was skeptical of the forecast but I knew that even if it was on the bad side of what was forecast, we could still fish; we just might have to take our time getting there. We started at TW where we picked up a couple big lane snapper, some black sea bass, and threw back at least 10 undersized grouper and some undersized red snapper. We also found a big school of amberjack so we had some fun with the butterfly jig. We left TW and went out to BR where we finished the day with a nice mess of red snapper up to 15lbs, some throwback snaps, some beeliners, several sharks, black sea bass, triggerfish, and 3 amberjack up to 25lbs.
