Today was the last day of the week to get out before a cold front blows through. A cold front in the middle of May. We're only 2 weeks away from JUNE and a cold front? After this crazy year of wind, cold, etc, I'm not surprised. With the forecast we stayed in close so we wouldn't get caught too far offshore when the weather man screwed it up. We loaded up on live bait at BB and fished around there the whole day. Our goal was to catch our limit but we ended up breaking off our limit. We lost several nice fish today. We messed around and got onto a great kingfish bite so we took advantage of it. We caught 7 kingfish (5 whole and 2 halfs), 1 1/2 red snapper (several throwbacks), a lane snapper, a mangrove snapper, a lone lost ring tail porgy, a black sea bass, and a nice flounder. We could have caught kingfish until were were tired of it. I look forward to slow trolling up some of those guys. As always, I enjoyed the company. See ya next time!
