Well the last time I was on the ocean, I had the live bait and the kingfish pin pointed. Then one of the most nasty fronts moved through and set in for 7 straight days with east winds that were unbelieveable. Clearly it had a serious effect on the ocean and fish because today the bait was nowhere to be found, and I dragged baits for 4 hours without a sniff. Finally we went to a place i've been doing well on amberjack and they saved the day. We fought amberjack for a while, stacking up 2 that were between 25-30lbs, relased a few more, caught a 100lb bull shark, a few beliners and a few throwback grouper. We also lost a few more monsters to broken lines. All in all a good day under back conditions. The ocean has some serious recovery ahead of her. Out to 6-7 miles it was still coffee colored!
