"Man, what a day!" is all I can say after today. We started on the beach catching pogies. They were everywhere but they weren't very concentrated so I had to throw the net several times before we had enough for the day but we got'em. We headed offshore to Desco, where we got an amberjack, a mangrove snapper, and that about wraps it up. We headed offshore a little farther and ran accross a nice piece of bottom so we anchored up and tried it. We lost a couple nice fish, threw back several grouper that were too small, caught several nice beeliners, and a 20lb goliath grouper. Something that was pretty amazing was that the goliath spit up a lobster when we pulled him up. Left there and ended up on a wide open red snapper bite. We limited out on red snapper with 10 fish (most between 7-10.5 lbs) in about an hour. I looked at the satellite weather and saw we had some pretty bad storms rolling in so we headed for the hill loaded down. The ocean was a 2-3 foot with a light chop most of the day and the crew hammered the fish. Good job guys! Can't wait to fish with you again sometime! Keep those rods bent!!
