The rain kept me off the ocean yesterday and from the reports I heard, staying in was the right decision. It got pretty nasty out there. We headed out this morning anticipating the storms to kick up about 3pm, which they did. We headed out about 7am, caught pogies fairly easily, and headed out to MG. Went from MG to SS picking up 7 nice red snapper (bunch of throwbacks), bunch of throwback grouper, a 26lb amberjack, and a good mess of beeliners, bass, and triggerfish. We stayed pretty busy all day and squeeked into the boat ramp between the storms just right. If it wouldn't have been for me falling in the water at the boat ramp, trying to load the boat, I would have remained completely dry. Oh well, the salt water is good for the skin right? The guys took it pretty easy on me. Thanks. Keep those rods bent!!
