I know I have to sound like a broken record when I complain about the wether forecast, but when they blow it like they did today, there should be some way to hold them accountable. Went out 26 miles, anchored down and within 30 seconds, we had 4 keeper snapper hooked and all coming in at once. We landed 3 of the 4 keepers and that started our box off good. We sat there and suffered through the 5 foot swells and scored pretty well on beeliners and picked up a couple more keeper snapper and a few throwbacks. We ended up with 5 Red Snapper, 1 Lane Snapper, 37 Vermillion Snapper (beeliners), a black sea bass, a triggerfish, and a couple of sharks; all ina bout 3 hours total time fishing. Great crew with tough spirits. Way to strike when they're hot. Keep those rods bent!
